What is N249 valve?

In Layman’s terms, the N249 is a valve solenoid that is connected to the intake vacuum source to the back of the diverter valve (DV) and it controls the boost signal to the dv telling it when to open. Essentially it is a part that is there to regulate boost pressure alongside the DV.

What is a N249 delete?

Removing the N249 allows you to run a nice clean thick line to the intake manifold, thereby allowing a stronger boost and vacuum source to pull the diverter valve open faster, or push it down more readily. Removing the N249 removes the ECU’s ability to dump boost in an emergency situation.

How does VW n75 valve work?

The value that many logging tools show is the ‘duty cycle’ which is what the ECU is requesting the valve controls the turbo to make more or less boost depending upon the maps inside the ECU. (more on that later).

How does the N75 valve work?

The N75 valve is a fundamental part of controlling boost on a 1.8T engine. Its a small electronic solenoid valve that the ECU regulates to control how much boost the turbo has to create. The electrical connection plugs into the cars engine loom, which in turn is powered by a +12v connection and a ECU controlled ground.

Where is the N75 valve located?

Its on the front of the turbo inlet pipe towards the front of the car.

How do you test a combi valve?

Check the Kombi valve by applying vacuum to the vacuum line to each kombi valve (V6) and running the SAIP. You can hear the difference in sound when the valve is open. Alternative method is to disconnect the SAIP hose to the Kombi near the SAIP and blow air through the hose when the kombi valve is closed and opened.

What is combi valve?

The combination valve, or combi valve as it’s called at times, is a pneumatically actuated shut-off valve that is integrated into the valve housing and allows the SAI pump to add air to the exhaust gasses during start up and open loop to help with emission control.

Where is the N75 valve Audi a4?

The N75 is located in between the airbox and engine just above the turbo in the hose going towards the airbox. make sure your engine is cold when replacing or some burns will accompany this replacement! Disconnect the plastic air filter connector from the air box and the front intake.
